About the Journey
I was born into a Christian denomination, grew up in it, was educated through it, was married within it, and was employed by it. Everywhere my wife and I traveled we tried to remain in it.
Since high school I asked the question — will there be others outside the denomination in heaven. I've always been told, "yes." Yet the church has also stated that observance of the Mosaic law is a requirement to be saved. This was one of many covenant topics I was unable to reconcile.
In these pages are the record of a journey: a retracing of my steps through the Scriptures, following the apostles back to the foot of the cross, and finding there a grace deeper and wider than I had yet understood. Not a different gospel — the same gospel, just seen more clearly.
I have no reason to question that your faith is genuine — you love Jesus, you love His Word, and you long for His return. In these things we are not divided — we are one.
My mission is not to change your mind, but rather to let you see my journey. I want you to come to understand that what I believe is not a departure from Christ but a deeper arrival at Him. I want encourage you dig deeper yourself, to be guided by the Holy Spirit to understanding of the beauty and wonder of the gospel, and rest in the same assurance that anchors all of us:
that the One who loved us enough to fulfill every shadow, carry every burden, and declare from the cross "It is finished" — that One will not lose a single person the Father has given Him.
We have the same destination, to be at the resurrection. Not because of how carefully we kept the law, but because of how completely He kept His promise.
Love to you friend
